Congratulations, how do you feel about winning AOTM?
I feel great! It is an amazing feeling! It gives me extra motivation to work even more, even harder, even though I didn’t make any super sales. Last month, February was my record month as I made 6 sales from MoreNiche, promoting Proactol. The good thing is that the site which I made those sales from is only 4 months old.
Tell us a little about yourself, where are you from, what’s your background?
I am actually from Latvia and I am 25 years old. Have been living in England for last 4 years and have a full time job in the Car industry. I work for Mitsubishi and affiliate marketing comes unfortunately only at second place.
What were the key factors to get you here today?
Well, there are actually couple of reasons. Firstly, I have to say thank you to Sandis, who was one of the people who dragged me into MoreNiche. As most of you know, Sandis is the MoreNiche Affiliate Manager and is also from Latvia, so we met in my Latvian web master forum and then comes a long boring story which you don’t wanna hear.
Secondly, I simply don’t want to spend all my life working my ass off for someone else and affiliate marketing is one good way to start your own small business, where you are your own boss and that is who I am going to be one day.
How long did it take you to make your 1st sale?
Well I joined MoreNiche last year and the first site I made at that particular time was to promote Aloeride. It took me good 3 months to get my first sale.
After that I made 2 more sites 1 for PE products and one for weight loss. From both of these sites I made my first sales within 2-3 weeks.
What support have you received from MN?
I have never experienced anything like this before. MN staff is super helpful, always there to help us, via forum, e-mail, msn or skype. There will always be someone there to ask advice. It’s also really good to work one on one with MN staff; it does really help a lot. Some of the affiliate programs probably would even charge a decent amount of money to get involved in something like this. But here in MN you get the best and for free. Special thanks goes to Paul and Sandis.
Is there anything you could suggest us to improve?
Yes, there actually is. Would be very good if MN coders could code a desktop software program that I would call ”MN Indicator” which would work as our sales shower from PC desktop. Whenever we make sales via MN, the indicator is activated, there would be a small pop up coming up, like example” Congratulations you have just made a sale, click on the icon to find out more” blabla… This is just an example and I know it can be done pretty easy.
I think this would be an amazing, unique feature MN could offer us affiliates.
I also would like to see and would be very pleased to see Aloe Vera products at Moreniche once again, Would be even more pleased if Aloeride would be taken back, ( living a dream hehe) :)
Come on now, share some of your methods with others, what works for you?
Well there is nothing I can say what hasn’t been said before from previous MN AOTM Winners. Firstly you need a good quality web site with as much content as possible. Then you obviously need to generate as much targeted traffic as possible. Quality back links with good article posts in top 20 Article directories are a good way to go. This is just one example, since there are many different way how to get good quality traffic. You can find out more in MN forums.
In your opinion, what makes a great affiliate program?
Definitely the people who work there and only then comes everything else, like good quality products with amazing feedback and reputation, great affiliate link tracking system which gives you probably few extra sales a month comparing to different affiliate programs. Heads up to MoreNiche on this one, the new tracking system is ACE.
What are the most important factors to succeed in affiliate marketing?
You can’t fail if you don’t stop trying!!!
Do you have any tips for new affiliates?
Read the guides MN offers. There is so much useful information which will help you succeed in affiliate marketing. Don’t be lazy, push yourself to the limit and never ever give up.
Ok, what are your further plans with respect to affiliate business and MN?
MN always will stay my main affiliate program and I truly hope that sooner or later I will also be able to afford to quit my full time job and concentrate only on affiliate marketing. Oh let me correct that, I will be able to do it. I can’t fail if I don’t stop trying, so cant you.
