aotm1If you are dedicated and willing to work hard, nothing is impossible. Affiliate marketing requires focus and commitment and once you have that, you can achieve amazing results. MoreNiche Affiliate of the Month for May has just done that. The award for this month goes to Tnbturbo! Congratulations! MoreNiche wishes you all the very best for the future.

With fantastic conversions, willing to share and take suggestions on how to improve, support on the forum and his overall positive attitude toward affiliate marketing, he was the top choice. MoreNiche team is extremely proud of you. Tnbturbo has shared his success story with us. It is highly recommended to read his inspirational story.

Congratulations, how do you feel about winning AOTM?

Well I must say I’m totally gobsmacked at winning AOTM! It means a great deal to me as I have only been an affiliate since the end of February this year. I have read all of the previous AOTM stories and found them to be a massive inspiration, giving me the motivation to keep pushing and make that first MoreNiche cheque.

Tell us a little about yourself, where are you from, what’s your background?

I have a varied background in sales and marketing. I started out on the bottom step of the ladder when I started in sales, door to door canvassing, or cold calling as its better known! I eventually progressed through the ranks to various team leader and team management positions, and landed a position as one of the Sales Execs within a couple of years. As the youngest sales rep of the company at 19 years old I knew I had my work cut out, and competition was extremely fierce. My boss was a real Alan Sugar, and only the top reps were handed the good sales leads while the others fought over the scraps, I found it very challenging, and got a hard reception on appointments due to my age, but managed to make a good living for 2 years on a commission only basis, with no salary. When I turned 21 I decided to put what knowledge and experience I had to good use, and I started my first direct sales business. This was a Nottinghamshire based home improvement company in a very tough niche. I ran the business for over 8 years, selling it just before Christmas 2008 with the recession biting hard. I had made some good money over the years, and a profit on the business sale, but not near enough to give up working. Once sold, I knew the hunt was on for my next challenge!

What were the key factors to get you here today?

I think it was just pure perseverance! I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge, and knew the only way I could fail is if I didn’t put the effort in. I must admit I’ve had some very late nights and long days of typing and cramming new information in, but I believe there is no substitute for hard work. When you first start as an affiliate it can be tempting to look for short cuts, but you just have to just buckle down and work!

How long did it take you to make your 1st sale?

It took a couple of months to make my first sale, I was new to affiliate marketing and had to learn a lot before I could begin. I think that first two month period is the hardest and it’s when a lot of affiliates give up, but I assure you the results will, and do come!

What products do you promote?

At the moment I mainly promote Proactol, UniqueHoodia and Zotrim, but I plan to promote more Moreniche products in the future.

What support have you received from MoreNiche?

The support I have received from the Moreniche team has been second to none! I would not be here as AOTM without all of the helpful guides and support from the staff. I have tried a few other affiliate networks and none offer the resources available here.

Is there anything you could suggest us to improve?

I think I have mentioned this before to Andy, but it would be very useful to narrow down the volume of banners to only ones that have a high conversion rate, and to know the sales stats of each one. This would make more money for the affiliate and for Moreniche. Many affiliates who are just starting out rely heavily on banners for their promotion, so would be very useful for them to know which ones work best for each product.

Come on now, share some of your methods with others, what works for you?

Just write your sales copy from the right perspective, either as a blogger or an authority, make sure you are helping them to the sale and above all give them a reason to buy!

In your opinion, what makes a great affiliate program?

It would have to be great products, top support, excellent guides, and not forgetting 100% sales tracking. Moreniche has it all, and is my choice of the various affiliate networks out there.

What are the most important factors to succeed in affiliate marketing?

Just the desire to succeed is the main factor need to be a successful affiliate. You just have to keep trying and identify areas where you need to improve, if a page is not converting you need to spend time reading through it to see what you can change. Sometimes it can just be one thing that you change that will bring in the sales.

Do you have any tips for new affiliates?

Read all the guides you find on this site, and never pay anyone for information, it’s all available for free here. If your still stuck, don’t be afraid to ask one of the affiliate managers, they are always more than happy to help.

Ok, what are your further plans with your affiliate business and MoreNiche?

I intend to get at least 30 websites up and running by the end of the year, promoting more products and niches, but of course my main aim is to be the next Moreniche Super Affiliate!
