Clarification on how you get commisions:

I know a few people have questioned how they actually get commissions on the leads they send and what procedures are in place to prevent fraudulent signups. Let me clarify so you know what traffic will get you paid:

WassOnline commissions are decided by a robust 'Fraud Matrix' which looks at a variety of factors including:

• Referrals country
• Referrals email provider
• The amount of time referrals spend on the site
• The number of pages they view

From this a score of 1-6 is assigned, 1 being safe and 6 being fraudulent. If the referral scores 5 or 6 then they are automatically rejected for commission, this is only likely to happen if your traffic is fraudulent.

If their score is 1 or 2 they are automatically accepted and you get your commission immediately and if they get 3 or 4 they go into a manual approval list.

The ones in the manual approval list are checked after 2-4 weeks. We then go through the manual approval list and check how active your referrals have been. If they have been active then they are clearly real sign-ups and you get your commission.

This means it can take up to 4 weeks to see commission for a referral you send, however it is done over this amount of time to give your referrals every chance possible to become active.

It should also be said that no one is approved until they click on the link sent to them in an email after signing up to verify their email address. Once they have done that they are either accepted, rejected or moved into a manual approval list as explained above.

We believe this matrix is very fair, we have been running it for quite a while now and believe it is the best it could be, only fraudlent traffic doesnt get paid.

The bottom line is if you are sending genuine traffic then you will get your commission every single time - but in some instances it may take up to 4 weeks to show in your account.

By having this fraud check every genuine affiliate gets their money. If we didnt stop the fraudulent signups then we wouldnt be able to pay $2 per sign up. I wish you told your support staff this information. I have been waiting on these answers for a few days now (since the 11th).

Also would it not be good practice to update the information on the Wass promotional page so people like me (who dont trawl though forums) actually know rathar than the slightly ambiguous sales pitch:

Hardly instant, and whilst I understand you need fraud control, affiliates driving PPC traffic need to review their campains in real time.

Is there any way you can offer the viwing of signups that are in the system, or can we have a pixle inserted for tracking ourselves?
