Ultimate Stretcher Price Change

Hi Guys,

You may remember in April we changed the price from $99.95 to $149.95 and upped your commissions from $20 to $50 to see how this effected sales and to see which one was more effective.

Well, we have been monitoring performance since the price change and unfortunately it has not gone the way we would have all liked.

Sales are down 50% and conversion ratio on all traffic has gone from 1/46 to 1/118 which means although you are getting more commission per sale most affiliates have seen their sales fall off significantly.

I think it is a lot to do with the psychology of a price, $99.95 is under the 3 figure $100 mark and so it automatically seems a lot cheaper for customers.

For this reason the best thing for everyone is if we revert back to th original price of $99.95 and $20 commissions.

Therefore I have just submitted a job to our designers and programmers to make this change. I will post another announcement when they change has been made so you can update your sites but I just wanted to give you a heads up that the change was coming and the reasons why.

Please prepare to change the price on your site but do not set anything live until the changeover announcement has been made. Otherwise if you tell surfers its $99.95 and when they get to the site its an extra $50 you might kill your conversions altogether!

Yes, unfortunately you are right. I have made less sales than in March - April.

Can I ask for few call-to-action graphics for ultimate stretcher?

Hi Den,

Its a good idea but I would be against having two different discount codes for you to choose from as it I would expect most affiliates to use the $50 one and those using the $25 one would lose sales to those offering the bigger discount.

Besides which the psychology behind being able to offer a price point under $100 is quite significant and if we would have to show that as the price on the site which would still negatively effect conversions.

That said, your idea could be worth trying at some point in the future, at least as a limited time promotion. For now though the price has been changed to $99.95 so please update your sites again
