Black Hat

Black Hat is a form of Search Engine Optimization whereby instead of working within the recommended techniques (see White Hat) people try to manipulate Googles Algorithms.

If done correctly Black Hat can result in short term success, more often than not sites will get banned once after the Search Engines work out what has been done.
