Hello Guys,

Time for another SEO roundup! How is the SEO going this week? There have been reports of a few affiliates seeing terrible drops and even rumours that Google were directly targeting affiliate marketing websites.

I’ll lay this to rest right now, it’s simply not true. There has been activity over the last few weeks but it’s been across the board and in retrospect, most of it is no worse than it usually is. (more…)

One thing I get a lot of questions about is how to rank a specific Google TLD. As you may be aware the many different Google portals feature different SERPs results. Google present these different results based on on locally specific information.

Geotargeting is quite important for affiliates because it gives you the chance to approach specific demographics which of course vary depending on what country you are in or targeting. (more…)

So you have your keywords, you’ve analysed the competition and you’ve built links.

A few things going on this week, highlights are below.

- The Google Trifecta Recording has been placed on the official webmaster blog. Its a long but very interesting video tutorial/explanation of the Google Webmaster Tools, Analytics and Website Optimiser programs. If you have an hour to spare I strongly recommend you watch.

- Wordpress 2.6 has some major bugs, don’t upgrade until you have heard they are fixed.

- Matt Cutts posted an interesting post about sites that get hit with the malware warning. Worth a read incase it ever happens to you.
