beachWith the stress of the current economy, it’s important to properly deal with your anger. Like perhaps using a machine gun!

Just kidding. Forget copywriting, backlinks, campaigns, design, CSS, XML, RSS and other 3-letter acronyms for the next minutes.

Let’s talk about being human and what it takes to be an affiliate marketer in real life.

I have a short one-week vacation so I’ve put together some tips for the lovely MoreNiche blog. (more…)

This is part four of the “Q & A”, initially called “MoreNiche history”. I changed it’s name because I got a little carried away with the questions and I realized this text had nothing to do with the history of MoreNiche anymore.

Recession, depression and online casinos getting banned in the US. The business world occasionally gets a little bloodbath. In this week’s “Q & A” we explore how MoreNiche keeps afloat when the recession tide is high, the MoreNiche business model and further investigate the MoreNiche promise. (more…)

muppet

I was reading around the forum and found a thread in which Andy was having a very introspective moment and asking himself “Why am I a muppet?”. Then he went on to explain how he lost a flight to Bulgaria, where he was supposed to catch up with the MoreNiche development team, because he forget his passport at home.

Hold it, just a minute there! Who’s Andy? What’s he doing at MoreNiche? And what’s the MoreNiche development team doing in Bulgaria?

I have no friggin’ idea myself! Ok, ok, I do. But I didn’t a few days ago. Luckily for me (and you), Andy was kind enough to answer those questions. And a bunch more I threw at him.

Read on to find out how MoreNiche survived the ice age! (more…)

There’s a lot of science involved in affiliate marketing and this translates into predicting the things which are (falsely) accepted as unpredictable about your visitors and your buyers.

In a nutshell, my post is about keeping up with the Paris Fashion Week of affiliate marketing, it’s the butterfly effect theory of selling online.

I do a lot of research. I don’t know exactly why, but curiosity motivates me a lot. Perhaps because of my young age, my schooling or simply my character. (more…)

Perhaps you’re wondering who the man on the left is. He was a Soviet psychologist and psychiatrist. Keep on reading to find out what he can teach you.

When I started writing this post the initial title I gave it was “Freedom and affiliate marketing” then I changed it to “How to be your own boss”.

But finally I stuck with “How to make a living with affiliate marketing” because I want to make sure this post reaches as many people as possible. Including those who haven’t started their business yet.

So I’m thinking if they haven’t started yet perhaps they don’t care about practical time and motivation management tips. Since they don’t have an internet business… yet.

“Wait, does that mean if I have website I have a business?!” YES! And start getting used to the idea! (more…)

Patterns lead to calmness and allow your visitor to focus their attention on what they’re looking for. Good patterns give your site harmony and firmness.

People find it easier to navigate around familiar things. The instant a visitor lands on your site they will compare it with every other site they visited before.

First thing they will see is your header image which has to sum up your entire site. Next, your headings should focus on benefits. Contrasting colors can be used to emphasize benefits.

Repetition is good and it’s easy to stay on a road you take everyday. These same things can be applied online. (more…)

Selling is a process. You have to guide your customer to take baby steps. Else they’ll be gone if they get scared by huge amounts of new content or inconsistent information. Or they’ll simply get bored.

Affiliate marketing success is about providing the right service, at the right time for the right people (the people willing to spend).

To start off, make sure you are tracking your visitors. Google Analytics is a free tool used to generate detailed statistics about your visitors. Keep your eyes on “Time on Site” and “Bounce Rate”.

Bounce rate shows single-page visits (visits in which the person left your site from the page they just entered from). Bounce rate is a measure of visit quality and a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren’t relevant to your visitors. (more…)

In my previous post I wrote about the importance of conversation. But it’s not enough to get people to listen to you, if they’re not believing you, you’re just fudging. Achieving credibility is a long term process. Credibility is something money can’t buy. And it takes a lot of attention to details.

It’s harder to get people to trust you than to get money out of their pockets. A customer can order a product but still be skeptic if it works or even if you deliver on time (or at all). If the product delivers for your customer what you said it will, then you have earned credibility. It’s only hopes and dreams ’til then.

The aspects of your site which you need to tweak to increase credibility are: content, design and navigation, company or personal image, and feedback. (more…)
