I have recently sold my own offline business based in Nottingham, it was quite a large home improvement company. Over the eight years I had it I quickly realised that although I had created a money making machine it required effort to run on. The more effort i put in, the more money came out. This meant I had to do all kinds of things most people aren’t prepared to do such as cold calling (knocking doors for hours on end) and standing at car boots at the weekend to spread the word.

The great thing about the internet is come rain or shine or any hour of the day or night you can find customers for almost anything. There is always a market but you must be prepared to work hard and this means repeating over and over what works no matter how dull it gets. Every site you create is a seed, one which will eventually grow and might pay off.

Sales is a numbers game and to see results you have to play by the rules.
