Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is having a successful week of SEO and affiliate marketing, we have Christmas coming up in a few months so get those cogs turning and working on some good ideas ready for the festive season.

It’s been a fairly quiet week for SEO news and events but there have been some interesting blog posts around.

The official Google Webmaster Central Blog did a nice post on comment spam prevention. It may be a good one for you all to read not only as webmaster who are concerned about comment spam but also as affiliates, a group synonymous with this kind of webspam.

Another good post this week came from PeterD on the SEO Book Blog. He discusses the Quality Curve using Yahoo Answers to illustrate his example and goes on to apply the same theory to the Google SERPs.

He also expands into search quality and Googles adoption of poison words as well as referring to the quality guidelines that Google leaked a while ago now.

It’s really an interesting post I recommend you all give it, and the things it links to a read. If you have time also check out one he did earlier in the week regarding innovation on the internet.

Also there is some nice Trivia in the form of Googles 10th birthday celebration timeline, you can find that here.

I am planning on doing a Q & A post in mid October so get your Affiliate SEO related questions to me on: seoqanda @ moreniche.com.

Thanks :)
