Congratulations Grand, how do you feel wearing the AOTM crown?

Wow! The feeling is great ‘cause just several months ago I couldn’t even assume the reality of wearing this honorable crown. But this feeling of achievement – beyond the money earned, it’s the best feeling I’m experiencing now!

As there’s going to be a lot of “me” stuff onward, I want to thank my friend Artem (Lewan) who opened MoreNiche™ to me and lent me invaluable support on my first “affiliate” steps.

Tell us a little about yourself, where are you from, what’s your background?

I’m 26 years old from the Saint-Petersburg Russia, and my main occupation is still a full time job in a banking sector.

Back in the last spring, I decided to start looking for opportunities of handling my own business. My intent was to make money with my own efforts, my own mind and time.

The employ oppresses me a bit as I feel less control over my time and how I can spend it. I agree that most of the people in the world have to work for a wage not to be badly off, but sticking to the lifestyle when you have to spend most of your life just in return for a definite sum of money is kind of a “mental obligation”.

I wanted to turn the situation and prove to myself that this is just one of the limitless options, and the whole life is more manifold, we have more things to choose in life.

In addition, I had (and still have) rigor living conditions, so I had to start doing something about improving my situation.

So I’d set the goal of starting my own business and all I had to do is to catch the opportunity…

What were the key factors to get you here today?

To begin with, I was a complete newbie in any kind of internet science and especially online business. I used internet as a source of information and for fun, watching entertaining sites and chatting on icq.

I had no slightest idea of what is html, how the site is created and what the hell is SEO. Making money in the internet? Before I set my goal, it was inaccessible secret knowledge I never considered as possible for me. After I set the goal of my own business, I believed and was eager to learn!

Some time later, I talked to my friend about that and he offered me joining MoreNiche™. It was in June 2006.

How long did it take for you to get your 1st MoreNiche™ sale and what was it?

It was a hard way for me. I had to book a free design, buy domain, and create a review site for one of the product MoreNiche offers. What is domain? How can I register it? Oh dear, I don’t know how to create that site…

Since June, I started reading books on html, I downloaded all the MoreNiche™ guides and lots of the articles on site design, I installed Dreamweaver, got a guide book and started to learn how to create a site… I also read the MoreNiche™ forum, soaking up the whole stuff about links, anchors, tags… it was a long process of intense learning. My friend Lewan shared his experience on icq, giving me advices …but I couldn’t start making my site. I think it was information overdose :)

More to say, I was working on full time job, so I had to learn all the stuff only if I had some free time, but I had the goal…

I’ve launched my first site in January 1st, and the second stage began, where I continued to learn SEO, site promotion, and to practice it with my site. I had my first sale of MN product only in April, 4 months after my site was launched. It was Proactol™ sale with 30$ commission.

What kind of sales results have you achieved with MoreNiche™ products?

To be frank, I’ve lost count of the number of sales I have made!

While my site was up to SERPs I had about 30 visitors daily and no sales, then the site was in Google sandbox for 2 months or so, but I continued to grow it, adding more content, adding more backlinks, asking for advice, and in June, when I eventually hit top positions, my sales are steady, and so is the income).

My best day was 200 $ in commissions (it was my birthday), and now I’m making approximately 1-2 sales every 2 or 3 days. MoreNiche™ improvements on Proactol™ also affected my commissions, especially 50% RRP event that made me 1-2 or even 3 sales almost daily!

Note that I’m still having only one site promoting MoreNiche™ product, so with MoreNiche™ you can achieve great results even with one site. At least not bad for working on full-time job and spending just 30 minutes a day for the site.

Come on, share some of your methods with others, what works for you?

Simple. No secret techniques, just the classic SEO all described in MoreNiche™ guides and books. All my traffic is purely Google, MSN and some Yahoo search.

I also see a lot of potential in article marketing, as the easiest way to pre-sell the prospect and make product sale through the affiliate link. I mean, you can spend 2 months promoting your own site to the top SERPs, and you can spend 30 minutes for one quality article and use the authority of top article directories. So article marketing is a least time consuming strategy, especially with high-converting MoreNiche™ product sites.

I have an article I wrote in July, which is still in the top 20 for a competitive keyword and generated 3 sales and 130$ of pure commissions for me.

PPC is a new sphere of my interests and I have already spent several hundreds of bucks here, but I will master it because those guys on top… I like their earnings!

In your opinion, what makes a great affiliate program?

To put it simply, great affiliate program gives you the absolutely real opportunity to grow your income, I mean real good income, no restrictions.

What are the most important factors to succeed in affiliate marketing?

As for me on my current stage of development, first it’s thorough defining of the niche you want to make money from, and digging into that niche, persistently growing your presence there and growing your expertise in the niche.

It took me almost 6 painstaking months of work with my weight loss pills site before I felt that I was among the top in the niche and I finally have success here.

I could have given it up so many times seeing no steady sales for almost half a year, but instead I kept on moving towards my goal and grew my expertise in the niche. Net result? I have pretty nice earnings and I can easily replicate my success making other weight loss sites, just give me more free time!

My second weight loss site took me 2 weeks to create, it has been live for just 2 months, but it has already got PR 2 and it passed 2/3 of its way to the top positions in my niche.

Do you have any tips for other affiliates?

Well, I’m not a top guy and I keep on learning all the way, but I have something to say for affiliates who are new in this business.

First, determine your goal before you start affiliate business. What do you want exactly? How much monthly earnings next month? three months later? If you have no goal, there are many odds you could give up facing your first obstacles. If you are determined, every mistake you make, every obstacle you face is a step up on your success ladder!

Be very persistent. If I gave it up months ago, I wouldn’t wear the Affiliate Of The Month crown now.

Invest in your knowledge! This is very important if you want to grow your affiliate income while spending less time on it. If I could pay to learn from our top guys, I would do it! Take it seriously but remember its real fun! What can be better than waking up in the morning and seeing how many commissions you’ve made while sleeping?

Ok, what are your further plans with affiliate business and MoreNiche™?

You know guys, I’ve got wonderful news for you.

First, my affiliate earnings in October beat my salary! Amazing!
